I haven’t been able to shut up about Mary Katrantzou’s Spring/Summer collection for Topshop. She is one of my favourite designers and when I heard about this collaboration I quickly started saving (something I never do) knowing that I would want every garment hanging in my wardrobe.
She’s always had a close relationship with Topshop having designed two lines for the store previously. Katrantzou stated "
They've been so supportive of my work from the very beginning and this range will be the most ambitious one we've done and the most fun. My idea behind the collaboration was to design for the Topshop girl a range that is as close to the aesthetic of my mainline as possible, with great control over the quality of design and production. I can't wait to see the Topshop girls in the bowl dresses and for the most daring to see them try the print on print layering!"
The collection features ten pieces ranging from the bold structured dress for the adventurist to the subtle clean-lined blouse that can be worn with existing items in your wardrobe. I might be daring and try print on print layering...
For a high street collection it completely mirrors Katrantzou signature style – hats off! The collection will be available from the 17th of February and the price ranges from £40 to £350
